Howard; her siblings, Kenneth Howard, Maggie Johnson and Faye Beth Purifoy; and her siblings-in-law, John E. Berry, Darrell Teal, Eddie Purifoy, Daniel Johnson, Edgar Mitchell, Oliver Mitchell, Edna Lee of Louise Mitchell, J. C, Connell and Judy Mitchell.
She is survived by: her daughter Brenda Ewing of Joseph City, Arizona; her sisters, Roberta Teal of Orange and Deanie Berry of Carthage, Texas; her sister-in-law Sandra Mitchell of Woodville; her children, Linda Vorse (Eldon) of Willis, Wayne Mitchell (Annette) of Benton and Amber Cook (Sidney) of Pasadena, Texas; her grandchildren, Nicole Putzier, Lance Hopson, Alisha, Kevin Finley, Brandon, Brandi Vorse, Jared, Tamara Mitchell, Jennifer Mitchell Favier, Bryan Bostick, Amarice Vasques, Maddison Cortez and Christopher Wood; and her great grandchildren, Liam Hood, Katlyn Finley, Andrew Finley, Brody Vorse, Brooks Vorse, Tessa Mitchell, Toby Mitchell and Halle Favier. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Visitation was held on Monday, January 12th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Stringer & Griffin Funeral Home Chapel (113 W Holly St, Woodville, TX 75979). A funeral service was held on Monday, January 12th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
