With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Sharon Benson of Woodway, Texas, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on July 9, 2025 at the age of 66. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Sharon Benson to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her father Billy Hardcastle; her nephew Nathan Hardcastle; and her in-laws, Thomas E. and Edna LaVerne Benson. She is survived by: her mother Kathryn Hardcastle; her husband David Benson; her brother Mike Hardcastle (Teri); her sons, Brian Heath Benson (April), Eric Dwayne Benson (Jordan) and Chad Edward Benson; her grandchildren, Kyle, Kate, Jake, Abby, Ty Benson, Madison and Payton Clanton; and her brother-in-law Tommy Benson (Brenda).
Visitation was held on Saturday, July 12th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Lake Shore Funeral Home & Crematory (5201 Steinbeck Bend Dr, Waco, TX 76708). A funeral service was held on Sunday, July 13th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the Oak Grove Baptist Church (614 Oak Grove Loop, China Spring, TX 76633).
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to be made to Gideons International.
