He was predeceased by: his parents, J. S. McHargue and Naomi McHargue (Calame); his former wife Louella McHargue; and his sisters, Jacqueline Collier and Bettygene Donnan.
He is survived by: his wife Luella R. Brunner; his daughter Paula Perry (Scott) of Ft. Worth; his grandchildren, Elowyn Perry of Austin, Kaden Perry of Ft. Worth and Kristina Perry of Ft. Worth; and his great grandchild Leo Perry. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Friday, July 18th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Blair-Stubbs Funeral Home (605 S McKinney St, Mexia, TX 76667). A graveside service was held on Saturday, July 19th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Wortham Cemetery (1000-1010 W Canadian Ave, Wortham, TX 76693).
