He was predeceased by: his parents, David Covey Sr. and Emma Jo Watson Smith; his siblings, Layton Covey and Dodie; and his grandson Troy Kovey Ontiveros.
He is survived by: his wife Valerie Covey; his son Darrell Honea; his brother Stephen Covey; his grandchildren, Kourtney Ontiveros (Alex), Elyzabeth Wilburn (Dalton) and Dalton Honea; his great grandchildren, Armani, Sunnie, Ophelia, Ryklyn and Ripp; and his pet Taz. He is also survived by his family, friends.
