With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Pleas John Holster Jr. (Yoakum, Texas), who passed away on September 29, 2025 at the age of 79. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Pleas J. Holster Sr. and Luranie Holster (Briscoe); his sister Betty Holster Kresta; his brother-in-law James Kresta; and his brother Ben Sevier.
He is survived by: his wife Karen Holster (Hagan); his children, Shane Pleas Holster (Lynette Kotzebue) and Gina Holster (John Johnson); his grandchildren, Chelsea Holster (Dillard Bull), Tyler Pleas Holster (Aristea Cuellar), Trevor Pleas Holster and Branden Kirby; and his great grandchild Dean Pleas Holster. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, October 1st 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Thiele-Cooper Funeral Home (1477 Carl Ramert Dr, Yoakum, TX 77995). A rosary was held on Wednesday, October 1st 2025 at 6:00 PM at the same location. A funeral Mass was held on Thursday, October 2nd 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Queen of Peace Catholic Church (7372 FM 531, Hallettsville, TX 77964).
Memorials may be made to Queen of Peace Catholic Church or St. Jude Hospital.
