With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Raymond Vecera (Yoakum, Texas), born in Plum, Texas, who passed away on January 21, 2022 at the age of 91. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by : his parents, Joseph Vecera and Frieda Vecera (Staacke); and his siblings, Frieda Bedner, Joe and Jim Vecera.

He is survived by : his wife Lillie Vecera of Yoakum; his children, Cynthia Vecera of Michigan, Bunny "Bernadette" Newby of Austin, Gloria Epperson (Bo) of Baytown, Nathan Vecera (April) of Lexington, Allen Vecera (Cindy) of Victoria and John Vecera (Melody) of Victoria; and his siblings, Rosie Shimek of Leander, Margie Kozel of Austin, Mary Ann Muras of Schulenburg, Evelyn Janeceka of Austin and Lawrence Vecera (Clarice) of Schulenburg. He is also survived by 23 grandchildren and spouses and 9 great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Joseph Catholic Church or Hospice of South Texas Dornburg Center of Compassion.
