He was predeceased by: his wife Dolores R. Villarreal; his parents, Catarino Villarreal and Andrea Morales Villarreal; and his siblings, Olga, Francisco Villarreal (Aminda) and Roel M Villarreal (Gloria).
He is survived by: his children, Derly Villarreal, Jr. (Egna), Yolanda Villarreal, Graciela Valdez (Roberto), Leticia Villarreal and Nora Norma Arellano (Jose); his grandchildren, Andrea Nicole McNaughton (Joe), Javier Adan Ramirez (Veronica), Rebecca Chantel Littleton (William), Angela Dolores Ramirez, Roberto Daniel Valdez and Norma Michelle Ramirez; his great grandchildren, Arielle Madrigal, Adan Derly Ramirez, William Robert Littleton (Billy Bob), Katherine Grace McNaughton and Sebastian Ramirez; and his brother Anibal Villarreal (Manuela).
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 7th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Rose Garden Funeral Home (2102 US-83, Zapata, TX 78076). A rosary will be held on Tuesday, October 7th 2025 at 7:00 PM at the same location. A funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, October 8th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church (1610 Hidalgo Blvd, Zapata, TX 78076).
His commitment to brotherhood, charity, and moral virtue reflected the same principles that guided his public and personal life.
