He was predeceased by: his parents, Francisco Davila and Maria Davila; his son Domingo Gonzalez; his siblings, Francisco Davila and Esther Hernandez; and his siblings' children, Juan Solis and Leticia Solis.
He is survived by: his wife Blanca Estela Davila; his children, Gilbert Davila Jr. (Maria), Gina Martinez (Carlos), Ricardo Davila, Noraliza Sanchez (Lucio), Melissa Trevino (Miguel), Jose Daniel Davila (Rosalva), Juan Gonzalez (Jackie), Jessica Davila (Pablo Acosta) and Francisco Davila (Kristal); and his siblings, San Juana Solis, Alejandra Martinez (Miguel), Julia, Estela Solis (Jorge), Azeneth Salazar (Sylvia) and Catarino Davila (Melissa). He is also survived by 36 grandchildren; 29 great grandchildren; 1 great-great grandchildren.
