It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Leopoldo Denis Villarreal of Zapata, Texas, who passed away on December 6, 2025, at the age of 74, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Leopoldo Villarreal and Rosenda Villarreal; and his aunt Clara Villarreal Garza. He is survived by: his wife Casimira L. Villarreal; his daughters, Rosa Maria Villarreal and Herminia Santiago; and his grandchildren, Levi Forrest, Chloe Forrest, Diego Hernandez, Lorena Hernandez, Elsa Soto and Gabriela Niño. He is also survived by numerous family members and friends.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 11th 2025 from 8:30 AM to 11:00 AM at the Rose Garden Funeral Home (2102 US-83, Zapata, TX 78076). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, December 11th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A graveside service will be held on Friday, December 12th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Zapata County Cemetery (642 FM 496, Zapata, TX 78076).
