She was predeceased by: her parents, Walter Alden Schmidtlein and Lydia Verna Seat; her former husband Karl Benson; her son Chad Benson; and her brothers, Don and Robert Schmidtlein.
She is survived by: her husband Ronald; her children, Bryce Benson (Colleen) and Gina Lye (David); her stepchildren, Valerie Andersen (Jim), Sabrina Leddy and Michele James (Roger); and her daughter-in-law Bev Benson. She is also survived by 27 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren.
