He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Ruth Swindle and F. A. Hammond; his wife Marilyn; and his children, Craig (Debbie), Peggy (Alan), Patti (Mark), Jolene (John) and Stephen. He was also cherished by children, 16 grandchildren, 35 great grandchildren, and 3 great-great grandchildren.
