He was predeceased by: his parents, Lewis D Wilkins and Afton Elizabeth Vincent Young; his grandchild Kory Kay Kinsey; his great grandchild Jayden Lynne Williams; his siblings, Louis Wilkins, Eldon "Rus" Jones and Barbara Young Kratz (Joe); and his stepfather Grant Young.

He is survived by: his children, Laurel Wilkins Watters (Bob), Jodi (Dana M.), Michelle Wilkins Vanausdal, Jennifer Wilkins Kinsey (Kelly), Krisann Wilkins Rasmussen (Shaun), Kimberly Draper Waelty and Heather Duvall Rasmussen; and his sisters-in-law, Diane Wilkins and Claire Jones. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren.
