He was predeceased by: his parents, Mark Makin and Agnes Marian Noble; his siblings, Mark Allan Makin, Erma Elizabeth Hamilton, Jon Donald Makin (Jack), Earl Duane Makin, Lois Arva Hair and Glen R. Makin; his son-in-law Stuart William Lewis; and his grandchildren, KaraLee Lewis and Brody Makin.
He is survived by: his brothers, Allen and Jack; his wife Glenda May Austin Makin; and his children, Mark Glen Makin (Connie), Reed Paul Makin, Brent Austin Makin (Jill), Trudy Ann Makin and Jamie Makin. He is also survived by 15 grandchildren, 36 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-granddaughter.
