She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Horace Leland Lillywhite and Alta Brinkerhoff; her husband Karl Garner Thurber; and her children, Marilyn Bingham Eyre (Darrell), Shanna Shapiro (Ethan), Nila "Jane" Autry (Chuck), Ranae Broderick (Ernie), Merlene Shettell (Mark), Ronald (Julie), Spencer (Lorena), Alan (Kala), Amy Bateman (Byron) and Dale Thurber. She was also cherished by many children, and take in foster children.
