He was predeceased by: his parents, Jesus "Jesse" Nevarez Salazar and Clara Pauline Ventris of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.; and his siblings, Jeanette, Jimmy, Ray and Jesse.
He is survived by: his former wife Rosemarie Gonzales; his wife Diane Lares of Madera, California.; his siblings, Carol, Kathleen, Mary, Vicky and Paul; his children, David Salazar, Jr. of Millcreek, UT, Jeanette Albers (David) of American Fork, UT, Loretta Brazelton (Wade) of Taylorsville, UT and Marilyn Tuivaiti of Taylorsville, UT; his grandchildren, Michael, Andrew, Catherine, Penina, Daniel, Caleb, Coy, Bronson and Collin; his great grandchildren, Henry, Jack, Elowyn, Iris and Astro; and his stepsons, Johnny and Raymond.
