He was predeceased by: his parents, Louie Sare Tong and Ruth Angie Jones; his son Mike Tong; his wife Lois Ann Keele; and his siblings, Bernice, Lucille and LaRae.
He is survived by: his daughters, Louise Slack (Layne) and Julie Baca (Mike) of Kearns Utah; and his siblings, Raymond and Kay.
Viewing was held on Saturday, July 12th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 10:45 AM at the Greens Lake Ward (1120 W Greens Lake Dr, Cedar City, UT 84720). A funeral service was held on Saturday, July 12th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Greens Lake Chapel (1120 W Greens Lake Dr, Cedar City, UT 84720).
In addition, Louie made significant contributions to the community as an Iron County Commissioner and as the Director of Asian Affairs for the State of Utah.
