He was predeceased by: his father Lester Gerald Buttle; and his father-in-law William Bruce VanderToolen, Sr. (Jean). He is survived by: his wife Jenny; his son Jared Willem Buttle; his mother Sally Magleby Buttle; his mother-in-law Rachel VanderToolen; his siblings, Geralynn West (John), Wendy Naselli (Charles), Kevin Buttle, Karie Cheney (Ron), Kirk Buttle (Kelly), Shaleen Wilding (Joe) and Janalee Wood (Malcolm); and his parents-in-law, George Gillette, David VanderToolen (Lisa), Gerald VanderToolen (Janice), Mary Treft (Charlie), Jeff VanderToolen (Sandra) and John VanderToolen (Meisha).
