He is survived by: his former spouse Gwenlyn Jane Mace; his wife Jane Mace Ekins; his children, William Ben Ekins (Amy), Marianne Ekenstam (DeVon), Bryan Mace Ekins (Patty), Kenneth Gene Ekins, Nancy Jones (Monte) and John D Ekins (Christie); and his sisters, Kathryn Ekins Black and Margaret Ekins Wilde. He is also survived by 15 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren.
