He is survived by: his brother Spencer Randall Johnson; his parents, Randall Kay Johnson and Susan Lunt Johnson; his siblings, Meagan Johnson (Clark) and Candice Johnson; and his former wife Muriel Ames.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be sent to the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline.
