He was loved and cherished by many people including : his wife Kathleen Irving Hodson; his children, Dena Lin Hodson of Ephraim, Iva Fenstermaker (Bill) of Taylorsville, Rodney Earl Hodson (Jolynn) of Manti, Max Hodson (Renon) of Cedar City and Wayne Hodson (Gayle) of Sandy; and his grandchildren, Nicholas, Christina, Brock, Brayden, Rilee, Maclayne and Jacee.
