He was predeceased by: his wife Suzy; his parents, Esbert Batty and Hazel Batty; his sister Birdean Murie; and his sons, Bert and Michael.

He is survived by: his sisters, Marjorie Francis and Anna Jean Munford; and his children, Sandra, Krigh, Chris (Logan) and Tom.
