He was predeceased by: his parents, William Rowntree Thorley (Bill) and Virginia Macfarlane Thorley; his sister Eleanor Grimshaw Heywood; and his great grandchild Samuel Welker Levie Thorley. He is survived by: his former spouse Bardella Shipp; his wife JoAnne Rollins Thorley; his children, Matthew Thorley (Janice), Rollin Thorley (Pam), Steven Thorley (Kennedy), JoLinda Reynders (Mark), Paul Thorley (Lynne) and Rodney Thorley (Jana); and his siblings, Howard Thorley, Virginia Thorley Olds, Larry Thorley and Jim Thorley. He is also survived by 27 grandchildren; 44 great grandchildren.

Because of Covid-19 concerns a public viewing will not be held.
