He was predeceased by : his parents, Edgar Monsen and Anna Delorma Monsen; his siblings, Arlene, Grant, Clark, Jean, Lee, Venice, Don, Maxine, Jerry and Aller; and his daughter Karen Nielsen Sowers.
He is survived by : his wife Joyce Nielsen; his children, Dallan P. Nielsen (Irene) and LeAnne Larsen (Richard); and his sister-in-law Athalee Nielsen (Lee). He is also survived by nine grandchildren, and 23 great grandchildren.
