He was predeceased by: his parents, Mary Purkey and Russell Purkey; and his brother Robert Purkey. He is survived by: his wife Kathryn Purkey; his brothers, David and Richard Purkey; and his children, Kathy Carroll (Jeffrey), Mike Purkey (Carlie), Nichole Taylor (Troy) and Michelle Andes (Richard). He is also survived by his 15 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
