She was predeceased by : her parents, Orland Russell (Heavy) and Thelma Richards Russell; her husband Arden W. Hortin; her siblings, Ronald W. Russell (Bessie) and Anita Renee Mahaffey (Jim); her stepdaughter Karen Vanhook Williams; and her granddaughter Jenny Lyman.
She is survived by : her former life partner Carol Neal Vanhook; her children, Don Deforest Hortin (Connie), Linda McCreary (Melvin), Dian O'Driscoll (Grant) and Guy Russell Hortin; and her stepson Gary Vanhook. She is also survived by grandchildren and great grandchildren.
