She was predeceased by : her parents, Darrel Ames and Nola Ames; and her brothers, Robert Darrel and Steven Leslie. She is survived by : her husband James Donald Gates; her children, Robert Gates (Tauna), Bryon Gates (Julie) and Amy Rich (Dustin); and her brother Dennis Ames (Maureen). She is also survived by nine grandchildren.

She was the perfect example of Christ-like love, charity, kindness, hard work and determination.
