He is survived by: his former wife Lorraine Gonzales; his significant other Karen Clifton; his siblings, Joseph Robert Gonzales, Julian Gonzales, Mary Ida Martinez, Viola Gabaldon and Mary Esther Brems; and his children, David Gonzales, Gina Kirkpatrick, Kennedy and Khloe Kirkpatrick.
Ernie died of complications from contracting the COVID-19 virus.
