He was predeceased by: his siblings, Kaye Christensen (Chris) and David. He is survived by: his close friend Ute; his wife Jamie; his children, Tiffany Velez, Anna Rogers (Billy), Tammy Lawrence, Rachel Gurney (Ryan), Travis Bateman (Kate) and Desireé Cherye (Jeff); and his brothers, Sterling Bateman (Jill) and Hal Bateman (Laurel). He is also survived by 19 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Best Friends Animal Society, Disabled American Veterans, or Transfiguration Greek Orthodox Church in Ogden.
