He was predeceased by: his parents, William Jennings Brian and Dorothy Lund Brian; his mother-in-law Gretta Nix; his brother William Jennings Brian Jr; and his brother-in-law Dean Power.
He is survived by: his spouse Patsy Nix Hanson; his sister Mary Kay Power; and his daughter Leslie (Dan). He is also survived by 15 grandchildren, and nine great grandchildren.
