He was predeceased by: his parents, James Henry Bird Jr. and Rosemary Kerr Bird (Whitton); and his siblings, Robert and Lyn. He is survived by: his siblings, Allison, Ian (Lori) and Duncan (Cindy); and his stepmother Helene. He is also survived by twelve nieces and nephews, and a large family of stepbrothers and stepsisters.

Given the current risks inherent with the COVID pandemic, funeral services will be delayed until a future time and date to be determined.
