He was predeceased by: his parents, Merritt Henry and Montana Thomas Stiles; and his daughter Gretchen Leigh Stiles. He is survived by: his wife Nancy; his children, Kari (Thomas Staten), Erin (Edward Allen) and Adam (Julie Widdison); his grandchildren, Anna Louise Stiles Allen and Owen Stuart Stiles Allen; and his brother Henry Edward Stiles (Ted). He is also survived by nieces and nephews.

Dyke Stiles, age 74, died February 26, 2019 in Logan, Utah from complications of Alzheimer's dementia.
