He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Gay Patricia Veatch and Irvin Wendell Nielsen; his siblings, Robert Nielsen, Tab Nielsen, Nancy Nielsen and Frank Veatch; and his children, Anthony Carter, Timothy Carter, Cindy Maughan (Jeff), Cara Nielsen (Paul) and Misty Buttorff (Jefferson). He was also cherished by his numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
