He was predeceased by: his son Jesse; his wife Janet; his grandsons, Calvin Olsen and Bailand Johnson; and his son-in-law Kris Kunz.

He is survived by: his son Ray; his siblings, Lyle Olsen (Peggy) and Mary Muir (Bruce); and his friend Holly. He is also survived by his children, 17 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren, and 2 siblings.
