He was predeceased by: his siblings, George DeForest, Duke DeForest and Bonnie Johnson; his children, Bill Cooper, Etta Carlene and Sherry Ann DeForest; and his children-in-law, Mike Gibson and Raylene DeForest.
He is survived by: his former wife Beverly Jean Hepting; his wife Madge; his children, Linda Gibson, Bud DeForest (Carrie), Mick DeForest (Vicki), Ray Cooper (Donna), Toni Lopez (Tom), Laurie Morrow (Chris), George DeForest (Ann) and Darrell DeForest; and his sister Mary Phillips. He is also survived by dad and could often be found playing baseball in the field across the street, pulling sleighs full of children with his car, and leading the 'bunny hop' at daddy daughter.
They enjoyed sharing this love for the Lord with others and did so by collecting donations for area shelters, preparing and serving food to the homeless, and spending summers cooking at Royal Family Children's Camp.
