He was predeceased by: his parents, Ottis Smith and Laura Belle Brownell Smith; his wife Joyce Marie Rowden; and his grandchildren, Moroni, Joel, Ruthie and Jona.
He is survived by: his children, Michel Ray (Pamela) of Utah, Donald Lee Jr. Smith (Paulette) of Utah, Marsha Annette Smith of Utah and Evelyn Mae Smith of Utah; and his brother Eldon Ray (Jean). He is also survived by 23 grandchildren, 72 great-grandchildren and 8 great-great-grandchildren.
