He was loved and cherished by many people including : his parents, Claire Inette and E. Michael Wilson; his uncle Dr. Orvid; his wife Margaret Ford; and his children, Katherine (Richard Stange), Scott (Jan Wilson), Marti (Harlan Pooley), Alan (Robyn Wilson), Jennefer (Martin Dorrance) and Rosanne (Clay Watson). He was also cherished by grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.
