He is survived by: his grandfather Charles McKell Bird; his parents, Merrill Whiting and Ruby Lucille McKell Bird; his brothers, Merrill and Richard; his son-in-law Stephen Southwick; his siblings, Ralph and Marilyn; and his spouse Dorothy "Dot" Mills.
