He was predeceased by: his parents, Clarence A. Swaner and Dora Doxey Swaner; his wife Joan; his son Brad; his great grandchild Cullen Gill; and his daughter-in-law Kathy Jones Swaner.
He is survived by: his sister Phyllis Swaner Thon; his children, Craig K. Swaner (Judy), Julie Pietschman (Artie) and Jeff D. Swaner (Karen); and his grandchildren, Lora Flitton (Greg), Marie Hall (Daniel), Shannon Anderegg (Mark), Lisa Eckberg, Natalie Swaner, Austin Pietschman (Katrin), Krista Gill (Sam), Brandon Swaner (Dayna) and Ben Swaner (Michelle).
