He is survived by: his wife Karen Swenson; his brother Gary Swenson (Mary Rae); and his children, Michael Swenson, Jill Swenson, Lisa Hunter (Rich), Lori Sorensen (Benny), Mitchell Swenson and Kent Swenson (Jody). He is also survived by twelve grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren.
