He was predeceased by: his parents, Wilford Emmett and Margaret Schwab Wilson; his son Michael H. Wilson; and his siblings, Marlow Dean Wilson and Doris Jill Warner.

He is survived by: his wife Erma Hartley; his daughter-in-law Nancy Wilson; and his sons, David Ben Wilson (JaNeil) and Kurt D. Wilson. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren.
