He was predeceased by : his parents, Wilford Wheelwright and Ora Engstrom Wheelwright; and his sisters, Doris, Beth, Faye and Joyce.

He is survived by : his spouse Gun Johansson (Gwen); and his children, Kim Rosky (Michael), Paul Wheelwright (Brenda), Nancy Hopkins (Hop) and Stephen Wheelwright (Rebecca). He is also survived by nine grandchildren.
