She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Loren Hale and Ethel Norton Hale; her husband Dean Nelson; her children, Gary Nelson (Jackie) of Roy, Douglas Nelson (Kaylynn) of South Weber and Lorna Palmer (Scott) of Woods Cross; and her brothers, Thad Hale (Anita) of Fish Haven, ID and Archie Hale. She was also cherished by 13 grandchildren, 32 and great-grandchildren.
