He was predeceased by: his parents, John William and Sarah Mitchell; his brothers, Arvel, Elmer, Vern and Melvin; his granddaughter Elizabeth; and his great grandchildren, Aaron, Gray and Quincie.
He is survived by: his wife Elaine Rundquist; his children, Christine Caldwell (Ted), Lon and Lisa Holmes (Scott); and his sister Shirley Kirkman. He is also survived by 22 grandchildren, 65 great-grandchildren.
