He was predeceased by: his parents, Ethel Giles and Roy Sorensen; his daughter Janeil (Jeff); and his siblings, Donna Mercer (Hod), Marlene Mezenen (Bert) and Darrell (LaDean).

He is survived by: his wife Leah East; and his sons, Kevin (Teri) and Kyle (Ilene). He is also survived by 5 grandchildren, and 13 great-grandchildren.
