He was predeceased by: his wife Betty; his grandchildren, Chelsey Flint and Tyler Flint; his son Jacob Best; and his siblings, Melba, Anita, Larry and Arlene.

He is survived by: his friend Satch; and his daughters, Dolores Hansen (Troy) of Layton, Melissa Melcher of Ogden and Leah Griffin (Jesse). He is also survived by five grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers Owen asked to send support to your local VFW, American Legion or Epilepsy foundation or fund raisers for like programs.
