He is survived by: his wife Kip Green Searle; his siblings, Jack Searle and Loa Chatlin; his children, David Dwayne, Ferrin Eugene (Monica), Saje Kolt (Heather), Shylla Marie and Mariah Grace; his grandchildren, Kyle, Anthony, Braxten, Boston, Emmy, Jackson and Eli; his sisters, Nyla Short, Bonnie Jenson and Erla Peterson; and his daughter Dakota Anne Searle. He is also survived by seven grandchildren.
