He is survived by: his wife Diane Rose Phillips; his children, Jana (Rob Larsen), Mark (Heather Benson), Jeff (Marianne Taylor), Deidre (Ed Plummer), Shan (Tara Brewer), Amy (Todd Stoddard) and Jill (Cortney Smith); and his sister Rella Nelson.
