George Marshall Sawyer Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of George Marshall Sawyer (Provo, Utah), who passed away on July 29, 2020 at the age of 94. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of George Marshall Sawyer to pay them a last tribute.
He was loved and cherished by many people including: his great-great-grandparent Brigham Young; his parents, Dwight Lewis Sawyer and Katharine Marshall; his former wife Ella May "Eeem" Hulet; his children, George Thomas Sawyer (Marcine), Louise Nelson (Tracy) and Michael David Sawyer (LeeAnn); his siblings, Dwight Lewis Sawyer, Sally Gardner (Jack) and Robert Hanna Sawyer (Bob); and his grandson Justin Sawyer. He was also cherished by 12 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren, and nieces and nephews.
With respect to COVID-19 restrictions, a family-only graveside ceremony will be held Friday morning, and a memorial open house will be held at his apartment at 179 North State Street, #101, Lindon, Utah on Saturday, August 1, from 10am to 2pm (masks required).
In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests donations to one of dad's preferred charities, St. Joseph's Indian School at stjo.org, or to the Humanitarian Aid fund of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
