He was predeceased by: his siblings, Susan Gates, Robert and Leear Pierce. He is survived by: his children, Ragen Backus (Brent) and Justin Pierce; and his grandchildren, Amanda Oberg, Cody (Kiersten), Jordan (Natalie), Logan Backus (Brianna), Molesa, Kalee and Tallyn Pierce. He is also survived by 7 great-grandchildren.
