She was predeceased by: her parents, Edith Jones and C. Holman Dawson; her children, John David (Kiyomi), Kristine (John Breeding), Brian, Robert (Lindsey), Craig (Kelly), Darin (Marie) and Cheryl (Eric Vawdrey); and her husband John Rooks.
She is survived by: her child Devin (Bethany); her grandchildren, Allison, Emily, Liz, Tyler, Jonathan, Amanda, Madison, Owen, Noah, Megan, Jacob, Katie, Brooklyn, Christopher, Darby, Maxwell, Lucy, Ruby, Kaiya and Kaden; her siblings, C. Steven Dawson (Janet) and Mary Dawson Wood (Duaine); and also Peggy Grusendorf. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
